A Novel Preclinical Mouse Model of Neutrophilic Asthma
Neutrophilic asthma remains one of the most challenging forms of asthma to study, with limited preclinical models available to support mechanistic studies and the development of new therapies.
At ATS 2026, WuXi Biology and Testing presented a validated preclinical mouse model that reflects key features of neutrophilic asthma. The model showed neutrophil-driven airway inflammation, hallmark pathology, impaired lung function, and responsiveness to tezepelumab, supporting its use in preclinical therapeutic evaluation.
This reproducible model has the potential to support mechanistic studies and the preclinical evaluation of emerging therapies for neutrophilic asthma.
