Dr. Michael Gassen, PhD

Dr. Michael Gassen has partnered with WuXi AppTec’s Testing since 2017, bringing more than 20 years of experience in the life sciences industry. He has held leadership positions at Nuvisan and Envigo, with extensive expertise in pharmacology, drug metabolism, and analytical chemistry. His work focuses on DMPK and pharmacology strategies supporting drug discovery and preclinical development with additional experience in strategic R&D collaborations, business strategy, and scientific and regulatory consulting. Dr. Gassen earned his PhD in Organic Chemistry from Würzburg University, Germany, where his research focused on lipid peroxidation-derived toxic aldehydes.
